Excellent listen on recovering from trauma!

I loved hearing his perspective as a neurosurgeon on the effects of trauma and tragedy and how someone responds to it.

Practical application

I really appreciate the practical tools described in the book. For a long time, I didn't know how reconcile lost and hope . I also appreciate that I am not the only one going through the same experience . Thank you for your willingness to share

Outstanding!

I don’t normally write reviews, but after listening to this book, I just couldn’t resist. We cried, laughed, and internalized what Dr. Warren said and wrote. Now I will devour his other books and try to learn the lessons.

I’ll listen to this many times

This book has so many helpful hints that I’ve bookmarked them so I can return to them

The first few chapters are about his son being murdered and although I wept through those chapters, the following ones were well worth it

The author notes that people recommended books to him after his son was murdered and about six months after his death, he read them and they were helpful

Lost a child? Read this!

Incredible! I cried a lot. So much of what he said resonated with me in my heart. It was so helpful. If you ever lost a child and are grieving this is a must read.
