Oh I loved it! 😁

I just love Mimi Matthew’s books- such a gifted writer!! Her characters are so lifelike and real. I love the interplay between James and his brothers. Also, in each book, seeing the main characters perspectives of the different brothers was fascinating to me. In book 4, James seems almost heartless, but in this one, his character is fully fleshed out and you understand why he acts a certain way. Beautifully done! And of course, Alex Wyndham’s narrating…..awww, it’s perfection! The combo of a Mimi Matthew’s book with Alex W narrating…what more could you ask for ??☺️. Thank you!

I loved this book

Visiting & catching up with old friends. Author & narrator are my all time favorites. This book had perfect blend of romance & delightful characters.

Lovely romance between two kind but apparently different people

Both Hannah and James are such kind and decent people. Hannah’s love for animals is a bonus.

Great characterization and dialogue

I love it when an author makes me chuckle and laugh out loud and this one did. I only let myself listen to books when I’m exercising or driving. This is one I could’ve listened to straight through and hated having to turn it off!

Utterly delightful!

How I have loved this series and have long been waiting for the story of James and Hanna!! …two characters who appear to be at opposite ends of the spectrum emotionally but who obviously end up being the balance and the making of one another.

I truly hope we will soon be able to read the next story in the Somerset series and that it will be about the rascal Jack!

As to the Audible version, the combination of the writing of Mimi Matthews and the incomparable narration of Alex Wyndham knocked this one out of the park!

Too Short but Sweet Follow up in Somerset Series

I was anticipating this story, kept checking for it. I was expecting something like The Work of Art, but was disappointed. The story was too simple, the characters not as developed. This is a short sweet romance. But I liked seeing some of the characters from the author’s previous books in this series and I always enjoy listening to this narrator.

Beautiful people, beautiful story

I love this series!!! The characters are so intriguing yet tender. I only wish there was more dialog from James and Hannah with the original characters, Captain Hayward, Earl of Allendale and such. But, that's just me wanting more. Mimi and Alex are captivating combo!!!

A delightful listen

This book is soothing, intriguing and funny. The book is somwell written and in turn well narrated that you will fall in love with the story. I wished it lasted more than 5 hours. Such a sweet listen.

Pretty sequel

The story was a simple one and
the characters did not have a lot of depth. On the other hand it was nice to see how the original characters from books With more substance and complexity had developed (“The Work of Art “and “Gentleman Jim”). All in all a pleasant and relatively quick read.

Loved Every Minute

Goodness ♥️ I have loved all of her stories but truthfully this one is was almost (ALMOST) as good as Gentleman Jim! The only thing I’m upset about is how long it will be before Jacks story comes out! Love all these siblings 😍 and each one of Mimi’s characters! Of course Alex as the best voice in the world (big dreamy sigh) I could listen to his voice forever!
