Another great one from Helena. Jake and Hannah’s story was just what I needed. Love all the characters and how they interact throughout the series.
Would highly recommend this to anyone. Great job! The narrators were freaking amazing as well!

Dreams come true

Amazing storyline that brought two 40's parents together accidentally and then share a baby. I loved Jake and his care for Hannah. The narrators were perfect for this story. I will keep this book to listen to later.

A reverse age gap romance

A sweet story of the mother of a hockey player who had her son Ryan when she was a young teen but he didn’t know that Hannah was his mother when Hannah’s parents raised them as brother and sister. Her son married Queenie, the daughter of the GM for Seattle’s hockey team. Hannah meets Jake while helping the planning of Ryan & Queenie’s wedding. Hannah and Jake grow close and become more intimate with each other. Hannah who is nearing middle age is shocked when she becomes pregnant as she thought her shot at true motherhood would never happen. Jake, who raised Queenie on his own, is there to support her every step of the way before declaring his love.

A new journey at an older age

A mature journey of two adults who need to figure out what they mean to each other and how they’re going to raise a child with other life factors to take into consideration.

This is a wonderful 2 nd chance for love when the couple is in their mid 40’s. Add in an unplanned pregnancy, crazy family dynamics and a budding new live. The story by Helena Hunting is outstanding ! Add in the fantastic audio giving depth to the story through emotion is on point! Loved this audio. I will be listening to this more than once !

A beautiful story

This book was a bit of a surprise. I found it very different than what I would normally expect from Helena Hunting.
To me this was almost more Woman’s Fiction than Romance. Though it did have some romantic elements. But it was more about the journey that Hanna goes on with her later-in-life pregnancy. And it is a beautiful and emotional journey.
I am not a big fan of surprise baby books, but there is no denying that this is a great story. As a parent it really resonates with me. All the feelings and emotions you go thru during pregnancy and afterwards really rang true. It was beautifully written from beginning to end, and I enjoyed it very much.

The performances from both narrators elevated this book for me. They were both able to really bring out all the emotions that Jake and Hannah go thru.

Though this book can standalone, I would highly recommend reading 'A Secret For A Secret ' first.

Loved Hanna & Jakes Romance!

Oh my sweet Lord! I LOVED this book!!! I went back and relistened to the first 3 books in the series and by the time I got to this one I was totally immersed in the Hockey and character world.
I adored Jake and Hanna's relationship. How they worked SO hard to communicate and take care of each other's emotional health.
I also loved that Hanna was an "older" mom. That she found a way to forgive herself and move forward from the events that had happened in her teen years.
I love surprise pregnancy trope and this book is exactly why.
Also, Narrators did an EXCELLENT performance!!!

4 1/2 stars. I loved that Jake got a book. I had called Jake and Hanna from the beginning just like a lot of the characters had. Bishop was cracking me up with his “catching” them in the act. Their whole situation is a little wacky, but I was still invested in the story. Hanna’s mom is more than I can take. I don’t know why Hanna even had to think about moving away from that woman. I always love getting updates from the previous couples. I listened to the audio version. Great narration.

Fantastic finale!

I couldn’t wait to read how Jake & Hannah’s story would play out, and of course it was awesome. Perfect balance of angst, conflict, love, friendship and resolution. Perfect end to the jockey series.

Amazing

This entire series has been amazing and I couldn't wait for Jake and Hanna's book. This was perfection and I'm still smiling. Bravo!
