American Accent

One of the best of the series.
JD Kirk at his best. This book is one of the best of the Logan series and has you gripped from beginning to end. Fabulous read.

Too much of a good thing? Never!
Book 20 of the DCI Jack Logan did not disappoint. This was a big case. Lots of guest stars and notable mentions made this the best book of the series, a book truly for the fans.
As we’ve come to expect, the humor was perfect throughout the novel. One scene caught me off guard with its brilliance, I nearly wrecked my car in laughter. Then, there were tears. Not a few stray drops running down the cheeks but full on ugly crying.
All I can say is JD Kirk is a national treasure and since I’m not a Scottish National, I’d say he’s a global treasure.
If you’re reading this and haven’t read the previous 19 books, along with the 5 Hoon books, and 2 Filson books….STOP!
Yes everyone can enjoy this installment as their first foray into the Logan-verse, BUT, you will enjoy this book a thousand times more if you knew all the background information. That’s why I say this book is truly one for the fans.

Another great book!
This was so good! It’s always great to be back with Jack Logan and his crew. This story has amazingly emotional moments. The narration by Angus King is, as usual, perfect!

I didn’t want it to end …
This series feels like coming back to family each time I listen. I look forward with anticipation to the next in the series and am so sad when it’s over. Thank you JD Kirk for your exceptional way of weaving these character’s lives together and bringing them into ours. Angus King brings them to life and makes me laugh and cry with his interpretations of the book. Please don’t stop this series!!! It’s a 5 star every time!

Best of the Series so far
I laugh and cry in the movies, or watching TV, but in almost 80 years this is the first series that makes laugh out loud and cry real tears. This story is an amazing roller coaster of emotions, in the best way possible. I don't know how JD/Barry is going to top himself this time, but I'm sure he will and I can't wait for book 21.
