Sorry, the characters in other Hemingway books lend themselves to the short dialog, but these characters sounded silly and stupid. I found myself saying out loud several times, "Ok, I got it, move on!" Maybe I missed something but whatever. The plot is good. The substance, not so much.

if you like alcoholics and short repetitive dialog this is for you.
