Engaging Listen

The voice actor's voice is not pleasant, seems too harsh and sounds older than the character.

Enjoying the series but...

I'm enjoying the series but it's hard to hear "Willamette" Valley mispronounced by a character that lives in Oregon! (I lived there for a decade). It's will-am-et and not will-uh-met.

Overall I’d give this book 4.5 stars because it’s a well-written, light-hearted bakeshop mystery. It has a hint of approaching romance that draws you the next book in the series. If you’re looking for something that not too in-depth, but satisfying you will enjoy book one and book two (this one). The storyline is somewhat predictable, but not so much that you will guess “Who did it?”.

Loved the story, narrator sounds angry and condescending

I enjoyed the story, but narrator sounded angry. Did not like narrator at all and she took away from the story. I found myself having to listen around the voice of the narrator and her interpretation of the book. As I worked through the overt condescending tone of the narrator, I realized I shouldn't have to work this hard to listen to and enjoy this story.

Great 2nd book!

Loved the continued development of the characters and location. Looking forward to more books in the series.
