treats the tough subject of lonely childhood ,with humor. very funny and sad. I could totally relate.

I'm in my sixties and she seems around 30. a lot of dating stuff, which is OK but not my current season. I could strongly relate and remember though.

Finally found someone like me

I myself have been chasing love, connection and someone to fill the dark , empty void inside. This book made me realise I’m not alone and how parenting or lack their of can leave lasting consequences and effects that you don’t even realise you’re carrying. I’m putting down the sack of rocks I’ve been lugging around for 45 years, from today and I’m going to mother myself. Love myself, reward myself, make myself happy.

I loved connecting with the author and her stories. I could relate in small and large ways of her life and it was nice to hear similar struggles from someone when they are difficult to bring up in the first place. Sometimes you don't want to get pity or cry over everything, instead just feel like anyone in the world is out there that can relate

after listening to Lane Moore's Interview on Hannahlyze This podcast. I decided to check out this book. This resonated so deeply to my core, such honest writing and a BEAUTIFUL sense of self awareness. Such a fan of Lane and all project's shes involved in.
