How to end up in Christmas kissing lessons with your downstairs enemy....
Break apartment rules? Guilty. Send holiday cards to the downstairs neighbor's grandma? Done. Accidentally become said neighbor's fake girlfriend for a family Christmas photo? Wait, what?
I, Bonnie Miller, am no troublemaker. I'm just an anxious girl trying to keep my emotional support pup in a no-pets apartment building. But my downstairs neighbor is determined to be my personal Grinch and get us both evicted.
Just when I think things can't get any worse, Elliot Eaton offers me a deal I can't refuse. Suddenly, I'm playing girlfriend and giving mistletoe kisses to my sworn enemy, all to keep my home.
Who knew that breaking one little rule would lead to a fan-mistletoe-tastic holiday?
12 Days of Mistletoe is a closed-door, laugh-out-loud, warm your wintery heart romcom. If you need a book with all the feels, some mistletoe kisses, and lots of holiday spirit, look no further!

Such a Fun, Sweet Christmas Romance

Elliot and Bonnie swap passive aggressive notes for months before actually meeting. Elliot is sure Bonnie is a rule breaker, taking advantage of his grandmother by having a dog in her apartment. Bonnie is certain Elliot is a dog hating, rule follower bent on getting her and Noel evicted from their home. One awkward family Christmas photo session later, they find themselves fake dating. Only Grandma May knows what they are up to and raises the stakes. They have 12 days of mistletoe, kisses and family gatherings before they can both walk away with what they each want. But what happens if they decide they want more than they ever expected?
I loved Bonnie and Elliot’s characters. It was obvious they had a special connection early on. They looked out for one another, each wanting to make the other more comfortable. They were so genuine and likable. Bonnie was passionate, fiery, kind, and thoughtful with a heart as big as Texas. Elliot was sweet, caring, and attentive. The dress scene made me melt. I couldn’t keep the grin off my face.
I love how Jen depicted Bonnie’s anxiety. Learning to live and cope with anxiety has made Bonnie stronger. At one point she said, “I can be brave and nervous all at the same time. I know I can. My anxiety forces bravery from me all of the time.” I love how she had the courage to be brave when she sensed Elliot was nervous. And you can tell Elliot cared about her in the way he read her, protected her and supported her. He tried making her as comfortable as possible and anticipated her needs without her having to say anything. He constantly pulled her aside to check in with her.
The banter and family antics kept me laughing. Grandma May and Bill were a hoot - Grandma May insisting on kissing practice and Bill giving one-thirty a hard time. Noel was the sweetest girl. I love the relationship Elliot built with her.
If you’re looking for a light-hearted, feel good, holiday romance, I highly recommend 12 Days of Mistletoe. You will love it!

Stephanie Rose and Andy Harrington absolutely brought this story to life and the way they narrated this story I felt deep in my heart. I found myself giggling, tearing up, and grinning so much!!
Jen wrote an incredible story that very beautifully represents anxiety and the ways sweet Bonnie works through her anxiety attacks. Bonnie’s character touched my heart and I felt seen and validated through her character. The way she acknowledges her anxiety, does not allow it to deter her from accomplishing her goals, and how empathic it makes her. Her work towards assisting others with receiving their service animals was incredibly engaging to read about.
Elliot is a rule following swoony MMC that stole my heart with how sweet and understanding he is of Bonnie. (Once he actually saw her, and not just as the upstairs neighbor who is breaking the rules by having a dog. :D)
Elliot is to be the new owner of the apartment building and is taking his role of owner very seriously, ensuring all tenants are following the rules, every. single. one. He’s created an enemy in Bonnie with his accusatory notes left on her door. Does she have a dog? Yes. Does he need to know that? No.
When Elliot’s family comes to take their annual Christmas card picture, Elliot is faced with embarrassment and decides to avoid any other questions about him still being single. He tells his family he is in a relationship and the woman who happens to walk into the room as he says this is none other than Bonnie, the enemy from B4….
This is a laugh out loud, sweet, swoony, enemies to lovers, fake dating, holiday romcom, and an absolute joy to read! I adored Elliot’s family and how they embraced Bonnie with open arms. I loved how Elliot allows himself to be educated by Bonnie about anxiety, and his open mindedness.
A hilarious, swoony, enemies to lovers holiday romance not to miss!!

The situation that Bonnie and Elliott found themselves in, which included not only pretending to date around Elliott's family but also kissing practice and kisses that were witnessed by the family. Elliott's grandmother did an excellent job of bringing these two characters together and reminding them of the agreement they made with her to perpetuate this ruse.
But even though this story was fun and sweet, the author was also able to include Bonnie's struggle with anxiety, which was the reason she had her amazing service dog, Noel. Bonnie managing her anxiety induced panic attacks a couple of times in the novel helped to show her strength and also showed the kind and caring man that Elliott was as he did whatever was needed to lend his help as well.
I loved this story from start to finish!
