I haven't been home for Christmas in eight years.

Merry Ex-Mas is a sweet, small-town, second-chance romance with a dash of not-so-fake flirting, a tiny bit of enemies-to-lovers, and just enough forced proximity to make things sizzle.

Cozy Holiday Romance

This was such a cute book and the narrators did so great bringing this story to live.

Written so well you can see the characters as she is writing about them.

Wasn’t really sure if I would enjoy and I enjoyed it so much I want to know what happens next for Merin and Max. Loved how the writer takes you through all their emotions, the good, the bad, the anger and joy. And brings full circle a beautiful life lesson for each of us.

A sweet story and a happy ending

I’m a big fan of Walsh’s stories. This wasn’t my favorite of hers, but still a great listen. I appreciate that she writes sweet stories without cursing or pg-13 material. Overall would recommend!

fun clean read with depth

I enjoy Courtney Walsh books. She always has a fun story with an emotional depth that is hard to find in this genre.
I admit, I was really mad at this MMC and pretty much every other person in the story that kept telling the FMC to “just get over it”. She was hurt and just like her mom told her “you can’t dictate how someone grieves” or how long. Seemed really hypocritical to me. Yes, she did drag it out but he totally egged her on and was purposefully miscommunicative. Maddening.
Both characters had some good character growth- and it is a good HEA in the end. But they work for it.
Overall good story.
No sex, no swearing. No heavy innuendos. And you don’t miss it. This story doesn’t need them to appeal to readers.

Perfect I’m beginning to end

I can honestly say, I love this book. The writing was funny and heartwarming. The narration was over the top great and I will be sure to listen to more of Courtney Walsh. I wish every audiobook had narrators as good as the two in this book, it would make every book, wonderful. Don’t miss it.

Anger from female main

The female main character was angry and mean throughout the book. She refused to let the past go. She whined about everything. I enjoyed reading about the Christmas activities. The book is great minus the spoiled lead female.

So Good! Very pure.

I loved it. Loved the characters and story line. it was so nice to come across this romcom that wasn't nasty.

Cute Holiday Romance

Perfect for an easy, cozy holiday read. The characters are a little bland, but there are plenty of funny moments and Christmas-y scenes for celebrating the season if you’re looking for something light.

Wow, amazing book! So much humor mixed with grief and loss, second chance romance (my fave), and the best kind of Christmas fun. Love this one!!
