The world building, creativity and originality in this duet is INCREDIBLE! Ive truly NEVER read a paranormal, dark romance like this. It had such a different spin and take on the paranormal world all while still keeping some of the traditional vampire lore. The slow burn build up and spice is slow and gradually but once it gets there.......OH MY GAWD!!! 🔥 🥵
Loved, loved, loved, EVERYTHING about this duet. Fingers crossed Failde gives us stories on Marcus and Constance and Darius and Rebecca!!!! LOVED the characters so much and didnt want the story to end!!!

I listened to The Sun Child on Audible, and the narrators did an excellent job. Their depth and expression added real dimension to the characters and made the world feel immersive.

The story itself continues Lila’s journey with plenty of twists, political intrigue, and her growing awareness of her skills and power. There’s a strong sense of mystery and tension that carried through the plot.

For me, it was spicier than expected and the pacing felt a bit drawn out in places, but the narration made it an engaging listen overall. Fans of vampire fantasy with layers of intrigue will likely enjoy this continuation.

So my only big pet peeve about the Sun Child is again this book being told through third person being told basically as a story. I thought this was an amazing audio. Raven and Ryan did such a phenomenal job with their narration of this story again with Ryan’s voice in this book all I can think of was the villain Michael Morbius from the animated Spider-Man show back in the 90s that’s just who reminded me of and it’s funny because Michael Morbius was also a vampire. Raven throughout this just goes through like a range of everything and she portrays the character through all that range. Our FMC has her downs and ups, she goes through a lot and I don’t think anyone else but Raven could’ve done this. If you’ve read the crow Lord, then Sun Child picks up three months after the events of the Crow Lord, this book is more spicy you get more, more basically vampire, drama, more action, and more Lila and Ambrose. Kind of like a quick recap for anyone going into the Sun child, is at the end of the Crow Lord, Lila has now gone back with the vipers as she’s trying to have like a Feyre moment from ACOWAR and basically bring them down from the inside. But again in this one, we top book one with our spice, with our drama, with the action. Thank you so much to blue nose audio for allowing an opportunity to listen to these audios early. Thank you so much again to the amazing Ryan Stone and Raven Wildewood for your narration. And most importantly, thank you to the author J.M. Failde!

The Sun Child is book #2 in The Vampires of Malvania dark romantasy series. My opinion - this was better than book one! TSC picks up a few months after the incredible cliffhanger from book #1 with Lila back in the clutches of the Vipers to destroy them and things not going as she hoped. The author ramped up so many aspects of this story - unexpected friendships and alliances, betrayal and loss, Lila's discovery of her powers, and way more spice between her and Ambrose. I binged this because the action and plot twists just kept on coming. LOVED it!

The narration by Ryan Stone and Raven Wildewood is amazing! They take this amazing story to the next level by giving us ALL the emotion and passion of the characters. Mr. Stone's plead of "Lila"...blew me away. These two are magic...5/5 stars!!

The Sun Child picks up right where The Crow Lord left off. And I was so ready. Raven Wildewood and Ryan Stone reprised their roles as Lila (FMC) and as Ambrose (MMC). And they are really the most perfect pair to bring the book to life. When Lila decided to go back to the Viper Morada and let them think they could control her, I was so scared for her. I knew Ambrose would keep an eye on her though there Concord but it wasn’t the same. There is so much action and lots of death (of the bad guys). Watching Lila come in to her own as The Sun Child and seeing Ambrose love her even more than before was the absolute best.

Audiobook review! J.M. Absolutely did it again with this amazing book! I got the chance to listen to the first book the crow lord and now listening to the 2nd book, it’s even better! The narrators raven wildewood and Ryan stone were absolutely phenomenal. They do absolutely amazing at capturing the characters and bringing them to life. You could just feel every emotion there was behind their voices. If you love a strong fmc and a touch her and 💀 mmc and love a dark vampire romance this book is definitely for you! But make sure to read book one so you fully understand what is going on. This one is definitely darker and spicier than book one so definitely check your triggers! I loved seeing Lila discover herself more and become even stronger than she was before. The character growth and learning more about them was amazing. Absolutely 5 five star read!

Ambrose: Tall dark and handsome quite literally with a silk sultry as a voice with a touch her and die attitude just ties it all together! He needs to let her go ... he needs to let her thrive but can he? When the little voice isn't there anymore, he flies! Lila: Trying to figure out her power and trying to prove herself in the hands of the enemy. That's where she wants to be though ... for now. Time runs out and she gets her line of communication gets cut ... worse though is she doesn't even know she's trapped. The last book left you just needing to know what happened next ... this one brought it home with battles and heartache and maybe a happy ending (no spoilers)

This book picked up right where things left off in the previous book. It did not disappoint. It was darker and spicier and I loved it! I couldn’t stop listening! The voice actors done a great job and the story was really good.

to fully understand what’s going on you must read or listen to the first book in the series (The Crow Lord)

adult fantasy/romance where the MMC is head over heels for the FMC & will do absolutely anything for her, this is it! This is the book you’ll want to read or listen to. Not only is it packed with events, but also with spice! I actually had to take a break at one point, I caught myself thinking, is she okay? Respectfully, I mean this in the most positive way lol.

I wasn’t expecting so many spicy chapters, but trust me they’re in there! If you loved the first book, you’ll love this one too. It picks up right afterwards, the whole time i listen to this I was on the edge of my seat Once you start, you won’t want to put it down.

Lila is a character who slowly but surely finds her strength & power, she’ll do anything for the people she loves. There’s so much character growth for her between book one & two. vibes I got from her are pure embracing the moment, empowerment, confidence, leadership. The more you experience her, the more it feels like you’re growing with her.

Ambrose, on the other hand, gives off strong protective alpha energy the “don’t you dare touch her” type vibes along with much more. Once you read/listen, you’ll see exactly what I mean

with the MMC you get all the classic/unhinged MMC energy

“she’s mine,”
“touch her and 💀”
“who did this to you,”
“how hurt do you want them?”
and more. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but wow, there’s a lot.

The narrators captured the emotion bringing these characters to life. If they felt damaged, you heard it & felt it. If they were cheerful, you felt the joy right alongside them.

The performance is phenomenal. The story is great. The plot is 🤌🏻 The author did an amazing job of explaining everything within the world she built, she takes you on a journey & gives you the answers you need & more! This gives you vibes of war where choices must be made, it’s safe to say you’ll have plenty to keep you busy with this one.

It’s a Must Listen audio! Narration is perfection
