I give this story a 4.5/5 and the spice a 4.5/5

There are 3 memorable spicy scenes that are unbelievably hot! (Maybe 5 scenes total..but outside of the 3 spicy scenes the others are short.)

First, there is no cheating. I know some may be concerned about me. Personally, I wish there was.

The summary of this book is half of the story. The other half is where the FMC is emotionally abused but not by either of the MCs. This part is a revenge plot.

This narrative is about a couple’s relationship and (in the beginning) the couple’s relationship with another man.

To be clear this is an MFM. The males don’t touch each other.

I didn’t give this a 5/5 because I wanted the FMC to stand up for herself at some point. I felt the abuse she endured took up too much of the story.

With all of that said, I highly recommend this! It was hard to put down. (I was up to 3am finishing it.)

I also recommend the audiobook. Both narrators are fantastic and this is duet narration.

If you’re into spice, buckle up—this one is scorching! 🔥

Berlin Wick might just be my new favorite author. The way she writes steamy scenes? Holy. Hotness. It’s not just about the spice (although there’s plenty of that), it’s the way she builds the emotional connection and makes every single character feel wanted and worshipped.

Jack? Obsessed. He treats his wife like the queen she is, putting her pleasure on a pedestal while also diving deep into his own kink. Watching her be pleasured and loving every second of it? Whew 😮‍💨 yes, please! And when Christian enters the mix—just as kinky and just as alpha—it takes things to an even hotter level. Two protective, dominant men both determined to love and fight for their woman? Yes, ma’am.

The audio version deserves a shoutout too—the narrators’ voices were sexy, intoxicating, and completely addictive. They brought every spicy moment to life in the best way. It was like having a front-row seat to a fantasy you never want to end.

My only minor gripe was Ellie trying to handle the blackmail situation alone—I get it, though. Sometimes we don’t want to burden the people we love. Still, I was yelling at the book like “GIRL, TELL THEM!”

And I have to mention Cruise aka Maverick—her hilarious, ride-or-die bestie. I need him in my life immediately. I laughed out loud every time he popped up.

I’m already counting down the days until the next book drops. If you love spice with heart, humor, swoon-worthy alpha men, and narrators that make your headphones melt—this one is a must-read! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I can’t say enough good things about this book. I loved reading it and I loved listening to it even more. I really like it being a duet and the interaction throughout the book. This is definitely NSFW. This was pure perfection.

The Secrets We Hide by Berlin Wick is an absolute gem.

From the very first chapter, I was drawn into a beautifully layered story of love, trauma, resilience, and healing. Wick’s writing is heartfelt and raw, masterfully balancing emotional depth with gripping suspense.

The characters are incredibly well-developed, especially the protagonist, whose inner struggles and strength are portrayed with such authenticity that I felt every moment alongside her. Branden Davis-Butler is one of my “If she narrates it, I’m instantly buying it” narrator. Miss ma’am, you are the only female narrator that has ever made me question my smexuality, if you know what I’m saying. The moaning and the way she encompasses the raw emotion is top tier and so hot I might just switch teams. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

And let’s not forget Sean Masters who expertly portrayed multiple male characters flawlessly and made each one distinguishably different. He is another of my instant buy narrators. Can we talk about his bloopers at the end? Hilarious!

CAN WE HAVE MORE OF THESE TWO TOGETHER?! 🥵🔥

The twists are unexpected but never forced — they feel like natural extensions of the characters’ choices and histories.
The narration is phenomenal. The voice actor brings the story to life with nuance and emotion, perfectly capturing each character’s tone and personality. The audiobook format added another dimension to the story — it felt intimate, almost like I was living through the experience with them.

This isn't just a story — it’s a journey, one that lingers long after the final chapter. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

And the bloopers at the end! 😂 Whoever came up with that idea needs a raise! Why don’t more books have this? Pure gold! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I only purchase the audio if I truly love a book; I've read the book 3 times so figured I would go all the way and buy the audio now that it's released. It definitely brought the book to life in new ways, and did nothing but provide value to the finished product. Sometimes the audio distorts my vision of the characters but that wasn't the case with this production! Glad I picked it up, and loved it from the first chapter (bar scene)

I listen to audiobooks 24/7 and when I say this is one of the best, I mean this is hands down one of the best I’ve listened to! This is my first time listening to this author and I know it won’t be the last!

I really enjoyed this book. It has a well thought out plot with well developed characters. It's about a married couple exploring their need for some sexual excitement in the form of the husbands voyeuristic desires. And boy do they. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The narration is so good! This is my first time listening to either of these narrators and they were both VERY good! And I'm picky. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This brand new audiobook by Berlin Wick is HOT. The writing and narrators combined create a delicious mix that made me absolutely enthralled.

The Secrets We Hide is a spicy MFM book centering around Elena, Jake, and Chris. Elena and Jake have been married for a few years and have found the best way to spice up their relationship and communicate their desires is by filling desire jars with ideas and notes then picking something from the other person's jar as a prize (usually for winning a bet). Jake has developed a desire to watch Elena with other men, but it's about her experiencing pleasure as much as him watching. The story revolves around the growing relationship between them, but it has twists and turns that you won't see coming.

There are so many fantastic scenes in this book, but the story as a whole is also just captivating. The writing and narration combined were able to create emotional reactions in me to the point that I was reaching out to friends to vent about the book, a specific character, and the author in general. There were moments of unexpected, but welcome, humor mixed in with a combination of spice, an interesting plot, and relatable characters. The narrators seemed to have real chemistry, which was very pleasing to listen to and added to my enjoyment of this audiobook.

Overall, I really liked listening to this story. I found myself gasping, laughing, and really getting into what I was hearing (not just in that way). I've already recommended it to a few friends, and will look forward to more from this author.
