Wow, Holy Hotness! This book was all kinds of spicy, and oh my God, the tease and back and forth banter between these two main characters had me so excited I got to read this book. I couldn't put it down, and these two had me all kinds of hot.

This is the 4th book in the Orleans U series. It is a short story with only 14 chapters and an epilogue making just over 3hrs of listening time.

We met Davis in this authors last book, Walkoff Wedding. He was Grant's friend and buddy he looked out for due to Davis partying too much. Trust when I say that Davis Guidry will leave you all kinds of satisfied. Not even going to lie, Zara Andrews was all kinds of hot in this book, too.

Zara attends a Bachelors auction for charity at the Kappa house with her two best friends. I'm sure their stories are to come, hopefully 🤞 Instantly, she notices a guy in the auction who can't keep his eyes off her. Their attraction and lust for each other could be felt through the pages from the very beginning.

Zara bids on and wins Davis for a 6 hour date. These two are so much fun, and the date they go on is anything but normal. She wants fun and spontaneous, and Davis provides that all while learning the attraction and lust between them is such a pull that they can't keep their hands off each other. Their chemistry was of the charts.

They pretty much agree to a friend's with benefits arrangement. The only problem is that Zara wants to keep their thing on the DL because her brother has an issue with Davis. They are rivals for the same spot as the starting pitcher for the Orleans U baseball team. Her brother, Oliver (who I also think we'll see have his own book, hopefully), is not a very nice person throughout. I think there are some other issues going on besides his problem with Davis.

I loved this short story and ate this book up. I was so close to giving this book 5⭐️ but had an issue with something that I thought should have been discussed or mentioned at some point. Zara and Davis are hot and heavy and bring the spice. But there was no discussion of birth control, and they didn't use protection at all through this book. He even makes her do some dirty things with his "cream" and I was there for it, but protection was something that should have been brought up at some point.

Megan Wicks & Iggy Toma did a fantastic job throughout this dual audiobook. I wish it would have been duet style, but beggers can't be choosers. Megan had an edgy vibe that really match Zara's personality.
Iggy did amazing reading as Davis. The only thing is that the book described Davis' voice as a deep baritone with a rasp to it that made him sound hot. Iggy's voice was not a baritone one at all. I at least think the narrators voices should match what the writer says they sound like, at least pitch wise. Otherwise Iggy did fantastic as Davis.

If you are looking for something short that gives you spice, angst, and some team rivalry, then this is the book for you. Zara is a feisty 5ft 2in spitfire that lives for the moment. Davis never expected anything more than the lust and attraction, but he was hit out of left field for the feelings that quickly came when he met his match. Pick up this book today.

DO THE AUDIO! Megan Wicks and Iggy Toma absolutely do Zara & Davis justice! They bring their chemistry to life so well, and it was an audio that had me sweating the whole time!

Y'all I don't know where Davis Guidry came from, but GAH BLESS HIM!! This is absolutely one of the spiciest books I've read from Maren, and I AM HERE FOR IT!!

I knew he would be a fun time from his appearances in Walkoff Wedding, but I was not prepared for how much I would love him! He is perfection! Fine (Zara says he is giving 2000s Heath Ledger!), gentleman, spontaneous, fun as hell, & filthy AF! Davis is top tier book boyfriend material for sure!

And Zara?! She is QUEEN ENERGY! She is up there with Viv for me, and that's saying something! She is fierce, spontaneous, fun is her priority, not afraid of taking what she wants, takes no shit (looking at you brother sir!), & girlfriend is just as filthy as Davis! I LOVE them together! They really do make a great match, and even though it starts as friends with benefits, they quickly grow to more!

This is for sure a re-read for me, especially since it's novella length & a quick super spicy read!

As always, Maren brings another OU 5 star read. The narration was excellent and the spice was *chefs kiss*. I loved Davis on Walkoff Wedding and so it was extremely exciting to get a full story for him.
