✍️This is my first book by Jen Stevens, but I wish I could travel back in time - because I have past FOMO. 😭
🎙️When I started listening to audiobooks in February'25, I quickly found my favorite male narrators: Gregory Salinas and Teddy Hamilton. But I have been struggling with finding a female narrator that I really loved. There are narrators that I liked, but there is always something that rubs me the wrong way (their breathiness, their accents when voicing non-MCs,...). Until now! Helloooooooooooooooooo, Hannah! I❤️U!
🔀OMG, this story... Throughout the first book, you think "great story"... But then you get to THE PLOT TWIST. #mindblown And the rollercoaster you get on, you don't get off until THE END OF THE 2ND BOOK.

I devoured the book earlier this year! So when Jen Stevens put out the call for Advanced Listening Copies (ALCs), I snatched up the opportunity. The story was so captivating that I purchased the Audible even though I already owned the ALC (Advanced Listening Copy)! The narrators brought the characters to life, and I especially appreciate that it was an unabridged audiobook, offering the complete story as the author intended. The plot was fantastic, featuring a truly unexpected twist and ending on an "OOOOOH SHEEEEEEIT" cliffhanger. And for those of you who enjoy a bit of spice, this book definitely delivers! Can't wait for Fallen Prey to come out on audiobook!

So I wrote most of this review just before the end of the book. Getting a head start and all that. After all not like the last 10 minutes could change what I write in my review righ..WRONG!!!
Wow!! That ending! I left my original review below incase you’re interested to see how much that ending influenced my opinion…
Get the book. It’s worth the credit. Just do it.

- M&F POVs with a excellent Dual narration
- Unhinged aggressive murderous obsessed sexual domineering stalker MMC
-Struggling, abused, newly independent, not totally annoying or unredeemably stupid fmc
-Entertaining well written plot. Kept me hooked
- Good sexual tension and build up
-Characters have clear individual personalities, traits, flaws, etc. Interesting and worth caring about.
-Detailed decently spicy sex scenes. Good amount/ fit the plot
- Good action, violence, sex, romance, conflict, drama ratio.
-interesting plot with original points
- Secret Society, CEO, Masked man, serial killer, stalking, vengeance, murdered twin, abusive ex, shitty mom, mental health, obsession, ghost, boss office romance,
- HOLY CRAP plot twist and ending






I was really into the plot. Dual narration was well done and having both characters POV really added to the plot. Story had me totally hooked. I didn’t dislike either main character especially- always a plus- and the plot kept me interested.
Then…. I don’t even know! wtf happened?!? It’s like in the last hour of the story both characters just go stupid or something! Making decisions that make no sense, overlooking stuff, acting and thinking weird. Ignoring the most obvious things. Suddenly all these revelations and strange plot points just happen. I don’t know, I dont understand, but it’s beyond aggravating! It’s like there was a gas leak or something…. wtf….😖😬🫣😪😫‼️⁉️

Anyway…. Frustrating character stupidity aside…. I still liked 90% of the book. In the end it was entertaining and had some interesting twists ( even some “what?! No way!!! No way no way!” Moments) . Plot kept me hooked , had a good pace and a good amount of action. The romance and steam was also pretty great. The sexual tension had a good build up and paid off with some pretty great sex scenes.

What the actual hell was that ending I'm shook this book was great tbh I never knew where it was gonna do next and the ending has me ready to buy the next book even though I need to go to bed 100/10
