This is book one of the series, so all fine and proper there.
This is an erotic adventure story, like a very steamy Tomb Raider. The story is very well written and easy to read (or listen to in this particular case). The characters are nicely done, with only our heroine getting the full treatment, but then she is definitely the star of the show. She is tough, smart and very sensual which definitely makes for a nice blend. Add in an excellent plot with just the right amount of action, adventure and steam and you have a very entertaining story. Overall, I really enjoyed this one and definitely look forward to the next book in the series.
As this review is based on the audio book version, I should also point out that the narration was excellent. Well timed, clearly enunciated and easy to listen to.
Highly recommended.

If audiobooks are your jam, I can vouch for the fact that Nikki Monroe did a fantastic job narrating this story.
And now for my review:
If you’re like me and watched Angelina Jolie play Lara Croft but said to yourself “this is really good but I sure wish there was some hot lesbian sex, DON’T HESITATE GETTING THIS BOOK!! Our protagonist is Laia Rios. She’s a relic hunter in search of an ancient Amazonian artifact. All I’ll say is I’m a HUGE supporter of the challenges she faced while trying to accomplish this goal. Riley Rose has again created a world that lets us throw reality out the door for a while so we can enjoy a super fun erotic tale of sapphic adventure.
