This is book 3 in Snyder's Keeping What's Mine series and I loved it! The dual narration was wonderful in bringing main characters Mateo and Aria to life. I love how we start off with Aria being a bit reckless and spoiled only to be brought to the realization how protected she really was. Mateo is wonderful too as he's no good guy by any stretch of the imagination, but we see that he does have some morals and code that he lives by. I adore how hard he falls for her and the little ways they show each other. This is a dark mafia romance read with human trafficking and murder but also full of sweet and steam and lots of character growth as well. I definitely enjoyed and look forward to more from Snyder!

I have not read the previous books in this series, but I was not lost at all. Story is well written. Mateo buys Aria in an auction after she is kidnapped. He is protective of his little captive, even when she does some majorly bratty stuff and makes some rather stupid decisions (She is in her 20's and he is in his 30's, so her behavior is typical for her age.) Even though he is morally grey and must appear "tough," he never disrespects or degrades Aria. No cheating on her. The dark part of the romance is his appetite for taking his unspoken feelings out on Aria in the bedroom (and she does not complain one bit about it. Wink* Wink) HEA ending- the narrators did a fantastic job.

Keeping My Captive is the third book in Keeping Wha's Mine series. This book was amazing. Aria was taken and put into an auction. Mateo buys Aria and keeps her captive. He is very possessive of his little Captive.

Phillipa Miller and Duncan Prescott did a great job narrating this book.

Not what I was expecting! But definitely gripped my attention. Mateo and Aria have the tension you'd expect from being forced to stay somewhere you don't want to be, but their love becomes so real. There were a lot of situations that made me a little standoffish, but it is a mafia book so that is typical. Narrators brought the characters to life.

I have really enjoyed this series. But I absolutely DEVOURED this book. Mateo was such a bad man but so good to Aria. He first saw Aria when she was being auctioned to the highest bidder. The chemistry between them was palpable. This book had me intrigued by the first chapter with so twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat.

The narrators did amazing. They really brought Aria and Mateo to life.
