This is my very first book by Lydia and I really enjoyed it. If you are looking for hot and steamy this book is for you. Lance West did an amazing job at narrating! I like his soothing voice.

This is the first book I've read/listened to by Lydia Michaels. Whoa! This was steamy...all the way through from the first chapter to the last. I am on a long trip and listened straight through. It was quite the ride with lots of squirming! At first I wasn't sure where it was heading. The oddity of it almost made me groan in exasperation about why I picked to listen to this. BUT I quickly became riveted to the storyline. My heart ached for Liberty! And Mason. He is amazing. Then comes Sean who had to earn his favor. I was skeptical. I truly believe this is one of my favorite ménage books. So much for all the characters to overcome. I seemed real. This turned out so much better than I first expected.

Lance West did a great job. His performance was well done. This audiobook rolled like a movie in my head.

Wow, that's a hot one... A perfect hot story.

The story is deep, but oh so steamy.

Mason and Liberty get an unexpected visitor - Sean, from Masons past.
Those 3 have an amazing connection, they first try to deny.
They grow together and each one of them helps the others in his way.

I was reading & listening to the book and I just couldn't stop. A fantastic story!

Lydia Michaels wrote an absolutely phenomenal poly book with such heart and heat it blew my mind! The characters are so stunningly perfectly written you can’t help but feel like you know them. The story is so achingly beautiful with it’s real life emotions and struggles it breaks your heart and remakes it all in one! 10/10!
I don’t normally care for solo narration but The narrator Lance West does an exceptional job with all three characters and his inflections are on point!

This was my first book by this author and also the first time reading about a poly relationship.

I like that this book covered the POV of all three characters. I feel like that helped develop all of the characters well and give the reader a deeper look into each character. I really liked Liberty and was glad that Mason was so supportive and willing to help Liberty through her OCD and panic disorders.

Liberty, Mason, and Sean all had great chemistry together.

I think the narrator did a really good job of voicing three different characters and making sure each one sounded distinct so the listener could tell everyone apart.

At first, I found it difficult to complete this one with how superficial it sounded. Once the intimate scenes started, it became more enjoyable and didn’t feel like it was dragging anymore.

Liberty adores her husband Mason and hates being a broken wife. She knows that Mason worries that she will have a breakdown and she hates being treated like a piece of glass that will shatter at any time. She craves the spontaneity others enjoy.

She wishes she could have one regular moment in her life. She feels the need for a change but doesn't know how to relay it to Mason. She is ashamed of her new desires and is afraid that her mother was right the whole time and she would die if she disappointed Mason.

Mason is a trauma surgeon and worries the nights he is on call because he never knew what could set Liberty off and put her over the edge. It took him a while to work out the perfect system where he would give Liberty unnecessary tasks - rearranging books/videos out of order and anything else he can find to fulfill her need to feel necessary.

Although he knows all about Liberty's past that left her with mental scars even after their five years of marriage he hasn't told her about his past. A past that just arrived on his doorstep. His lover from thirteen years ago. His male lover.

Mason was Sean's biggest regret. Instead of owning up that he was in love with a man, he walked away from the only person who has ever loved him.

Although I have read BREAKING PERFECT already, I was excited to listen to the audiobook. I should have been prepared that listening to the story was even more emotional than reading it. This book is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable.

This story is written from the POVs of Liberty, Mason and Sean giving you full insight into their complicated life. This is the first time I have listened to a book narrated by Lance West and I am just blown away! I actually had to recheck the credits several times because this man does a PERFECT woman's voice.

I love these characters! Lydia Michaels has given us characters that are perfect even with their fractured pasts.

Libby's OCD has OCD. She had a horrible childhood and now she fights hard for perfection. To the point that if one second of her day is off schedule she starts to harm herself to try to get back control.

Mason will do anything to make sure that Libby is not only happy, including pushing his sexual desires aside. But, Sean is the key to chasing away Libby's demons.

This is a D/s poly romance that deals in BDSM, MMF, mental issues and power exchange so beware if you have any triggers.

This book is highly erotic and smoking hot and Lance West was wow, just wow! This book is unlike any other Lydia Michaels book in that it not only deals with multiple partners, but the sexual chemistry is off the charts! Highly recommend!

I have loved everything about this book. It is emotional, sexy and full of so much chemistry.. it was flowing out of me as I was reading. I got an opportunity to review via audio and at first I was ok with the narration but as the story develops this narration is spot on… smooth and hard when needed.

This book was not what I expected and I mean that in the best way. I was hooked on page one and couldn’t put it down. The narration was really good and went well with this story. If you’re interested in reading a poly romance, pick this one up!

I went into this one pretty much blind. Saw the word menage and was like say no more! With a book of this length I go in expecting a little build up before anything of spicy nature takes place and this one was not like that at all. You're thrown in right out of the gate and I'm not complaining!

So, so much happens in this book and I thought that the way Michaels handled this book and the intricacies of trauma that were displayed within were well done. She has quickly become one of my favorite authors of polyamorous relationships because she doesn't shy away from the struggles and make things easy peasy like some others do. I enjoy that nitty gritty and realness! You can still have that and a HEA.

I listened to the audio book and... how does Lance West speak so slowly? Don't get me wrong, his voice is really soothing and calming but I listened to this at 2x speed just to get it too what seemed like a normal reading speed. You can even brave 3x speed if you want without having to focus overly hard.

His voices are great, and his shifts between characters is clean and even the perspective he's narrating can be picked up with this alone. He's clean, precise, and somehow those aspects made it seem more dirty to hear him reading some of these scenes. I'm newer to audio books so all the filth I've read has been in my own head. This one made me blush. I don't know if it was the almost innocent vibes of Lance's voice or that I'm just not used to hearing other people read the spicy bits, but oof. All of that is funny seeing as I follow other narrators who are super spicy but I've only ever heard short clips (that, yes, are also blush inducing). New k*nk unlocked? IDK 😂
