Born in Canton Ohio and raised in a box made out of ticky-tacky, Tom Alan Robbins spent his youth as a middle-aged character actor. He has appeared in nine Broadway shows, including The Lion King in which he created the role of Pumbaa. He recently received a Grammy nomination for the cast album of Little Shop of Horrors. He has maintained a parallel career as a writer, penning scripts for TV shows like Coach and writing plays, one of which (Muse) recently won the New Works of Merit Playwriting Competition. The Twits Chronicles series is his first attempt at novel writing and it has been a pure joy. He hopes to keep creating adventures for Cyril and Bentley as long as there are readers who enjoy them.
