There was a time when T. Russell had very little financial understanding and very little financial discipline. He worked, earned money, and handled the responsibilities in front of him, but without a strong financial foundation, he was unprepared for how quickly life could change.

That reality became deeply personal when his grandmother passed away. While grieving her loss, T. Russell found himself financially unprepared to help cover the funeral expenses. The added financial burden placed him deeper into credit card debt during an already difficult time and became an experience he would never forget.

From that experience came a promise he made to himself: if he gained the knowledge and experience to better understand personal finance, he would use what he learned to help others become better prepared—so that when life’s difficult moments arrived, financial uncertainty would not have to add another burden to an already challenging time.

That promise helped shape his journey as an author, Financial Strategist, Licensed Financial Professional, and founder of DessaGrey Publishing™.
