Steve Johnson is a product management author, coach, speaker, and longtime practitioner who has spent more than four decades working with technology products.

Steve began his career in technology in 1981 and moved through product management, product marketing, and executive leadership roles. He later became Vice President of Products and one of the founding instructors at Pragmatic Institute, where he helped establish many of the product management practices used by technology companies today.

Since 1995, Steve has trained and coached tens of thousands of product professionals and leaders. His articles, books, workshops, and frameworks focus on a simple idea: product management is a business discipline. Great product teams understand markets and customers, make deliberate investment decisions, and bring the entire organization together around products that solve meaningful problems.
