Mike McDonnell is a writer, speaker, and digital entrepreneur from Essex, UK. In 2019, at the age of 23, he experienced his first episode of psychosis, an event that would turn his world upside down and force him to completely re-evaluate his life. A second episode two years later led to a deeper reckoning, but also became the catalyst for lasting change. What followed was years of rebuilding from the inside out: learning to manage bipolar disorder, recovering from the trauma of hospitalisation, and slowly reshaping his life with intention, structure, and purpose. Outside of writing, Mike runs a digital marketing business and a YouTube channel, where he continues to advocate for open mental health conversations. His work is grounded in the belief that sharing your story can be a powerful act of connection and change.
