Mike Desormeaux is an author, real estate investor, coach, and licensed real estate sales representative in Ontario, Canada, with more than 20 years of experience investing in real estate. For the past 15 years, he has ranked among the top 1% in Canada for real estate sales volume and has helped thousands of investors navigate real estate and build long-term wealth.

Over the years, Mike has had the opportunity to work with people from virtually every walk of life — from first-time investors and tradespeople to engineers, doctors, accountants, entrepreneurs, professional athletes, executives, and experienced real estate investors. Through live events, coaching, podcasts, and education, his focus has remained the same: helping people better understand money, investing, and the decisions that shape their financial future.

That experience led Mike to write his first book, Wealth Won’t Wait, which shares practical, real-world strategies for creating income, building wealth, and working toward greater financial freedom.

But as a father of three, Mike began thinking about something even earlier: When should we start teaching our kids how money actually works? That question inspired his children’s book, The Money Mystery: Dr. Inflate and the Solid Rock. Through adventure, humour, and memorable characters, the story introduces younger readers to ideas around earning, saving, spending, investing, inflation, value, patience, generosity, and making thoughtful choices with money.

Mike believes financial education shouldn’t begin when someone gets their first mortgage, credit card, or investment property. Some of the most important money lessons can begin much earlier — through simple conversations between kids and the adults raising them.

Whether he is writing for adults pursuing financial freedom or children just beginning to ask questions about money, Mike’s goal is the same: to make important financial ideas easier to understand, easier to talk about, and easier to put into practice.
