‘The moment when your legs give up is the exact moment when your heart gives more…’ Michael D’Aulerio is a business professional, writer, and author from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended Eastern University, where he attained a MBA in Social Impact and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at BU. He went on to gain certifications as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist. He is married and lives with his wife, three children, and two cats named Lady and King. As well as his family and career, Michael is an ultra runner, having completed over 100 ultra-marathon distances. This incredible achievement included first place in a 116 mile race across Florida, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean and completion of one of the longest distances in the world - 200 miles. Not only does Michael run extremely long distances, but he also does it by eating only plants and as a fat adapted runner, meaning he completes in races without intake of food or water. He provides his entire system in his book, The Fat Adapted Running Formula. His other books include, The Ultramarathon Guide and The Basic Marathon Guide, which are aimed at long distance runners and A Runner’s Secret which is a system that Michael developed himself that teaches people how to run any distance by training just one day per week. Mindful Ultramarathon Running is Michael's most recent published running book and he recently released The Big Boy Slide which is an inspiring picutre book aimed to help young children overcome their fears. When he isn’t working, writing, or running, Michael spends most of his time with his family and reading personal development books. As far as the future is concerned, Michael aims to keep running for himself, while helping other runners to change their lives for the better through long distance running.
