I've seen memes that say, "I want to be so full of Christ that when a mosquito bites me it flies away singing, "There's Power in the Blood." (I hope you're all familiar with that great, old hymn!) I echo that sentiment. I made a commitment in high school to get married when God said so and not one woman before. The last 50 years have proven to me that some commitments require more patience than others. I have a pair of seminary degrees, but while singleness is required for Catholic priests it has been a disqualifier for being a Baptist pastor. For most of 35 years I interpreted for deaf college students. Now that my hands will not keep up with that, I am high school substitute teacher. The district has announced a move to do as much as possible online. That means my days as a substitute with some nerve damage in my hands is numbered. I am now producing ebooks an audio books as my hands will allow and taking breaks when they require it. God has called me to do a variety of things at a variety of times. The dominant theme for the past 20+ years has been using the gift of teaching for His glory. I look forward to what He has for me in publishing. He has given me ideas that could continue for the next 20+ years.
