Josh Baron is the editor-in-chief of Relix magazine, a music-based publication where he has been on staff for more than a decade. Baron also contributes to a variety of media outlets including New York City-based radio station WFUV where he serves as a music reviewer. Baron grew up in Irvine, Calif. and attended college at UC Santa Barbara where he graduated with honors in 2000 with a B.A. in English. While there, he also studied student behavior and life under renowned sociologist Richard Flacks. In 2000, Baron moved to New York City to pursue journalism, initially interning at Rolling Stone before moving to other publications such as Black Book, Revolver and Guitar World. He joined the Relix staff in 2001. He lives in Ft.Greene, Brooklyn with his wife and son.
