John Thibault is an author and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of politics, policy, and everyday life. He is the author of How to Change a Law, Sway, and Keeping Score — books that give ordinary Americans an insider's understanding of how laws get made, how power actually works, and how anyone with a cause can learn to navigate the system. That perspective comes from experience. Thibault began his career in governmental affairs at MCA/Universal, working directly with Congressmen, Senators, and civic leaders. He went on to join the founding team at eBay and later served as VP of Marketing at Financial Engines, working alongside Nobel laureate Bill Sharpe to bring institutional-quality financial advice to millions of everyday Americans. He is also the founder of The Thibault Foundation, a private family foundation supporting children's health, education, and financial literacy. He holds an MFA from UCLA and a BA from Toronto Metropolitan University. He lives in Northern California with his wife and three children.
