Headed to burnout, Jen was at a crossroads- stay and teach, or get out. With the weight of piles of grading, ever changing demands from both the state and district, increasing number of tests, and the complexity of balancing being a mom and a teacher, the decision seemed easy- get out and get your life back. But, at that pivotal moment, she realized that the pull of being an educator was stronger than the pull to get out. She made a decision to stay and love teaching again. She figured out how to deal with the overwhelm and teach better. This shift has proved to be life-changing- for Jen and her students. As a dynamic teacher, motivational speaker, and author of The Happy Teacher’s Handbook, Jen's superpower is getting teachers to smile again.
