Jeff Voth

Jeff Voth

Jeff Voth would describe himself as a Caveman. Not a Neanderthal (at least in his opinion), but a man who feels compelled to escape to a private place with his Maker as often as possible, a place that he calls his cave. He came upon this escaping to a cave concept during what he describes as his "dark night" period, where depression, fear and panic were the norms for him. It was during this time he also began to study a particular period in the life of King David of Israel in 1 Samuel 17-25. He saw that David experienced success, failure, stress, unwarranted accusations and even the loss of his dignity; all of which he responded to by escaping to the cave (1 Samuel 22:1). He was a caveman. It was through delving into the lives of this caveman and the lives of his friends who would join him in the cave, that Jeff found comfort and some tools that have stayed with him.
