Jeff Lelek has lived on five continents and traveled in over a hundred countries. A native of New Jersey, he long ago began to call the Western US his home. During a long and convoluted career as a geologist, he started writing Sinai Prospect while working on a geophysical seismic vessel in the Gulf of Suez. He still teaches the occasional geology course, but spends most of his time in the mountains of Colorado and the desert of Arizona skiing, hiking, biking, and golfing – when not traveling or visiting friends and family. Jeff graduated from Dartmouth College, the University of Montana, and Regis College, where he remembers experiences that flavor his writing. An avid reader of multiple genres, he prefers fiction that keeps a reader’s interest while imparting some knowledge of place, scientific subject, or pertinent current topic. Rich character development is also a requirement.
