Greetings!
My name is Jim Britton, and I’m pleased to make your acquaintance through Udemy's on-line course platform. I have a background in both business and education, having spent nearly 10 years in higher education in various roles including Director of Continuing Education and Business Training, as well as Director of Workforce Development. I also successfully served as the Program Manager of a $5 million Department of Labor Grant for the Community College System of NH. I also have 6 years on the Board of Directors of Leadership Upper Valley, for two of those years, I was the Board Chair.
I have been teaching business courses for the Community College System of NH and Southern New Hampshire University for over 10 years.
I also have substantial experience working in business and industry in sales and marketing in retail, radio broadcasting, music, and e-commerce. I have run my own business, and am still very involved with marketing and sales on the internet, including daily interaction with marketing on social media platforms and e-commerce sites.
I earned my BS in Accounting from Plymouth State University (Plymouth, NH) and an MBA with a focus on Management & Strategy from Western Governor’s University (Salt Lake City, UT.)
On a personal level, I like to play guitar, drums, piano, and bass......(anything that makes noise- my wife says!) …..and am also an avid home recording enthusiast. I also enjoy hiking, writing, and playing basketball. I am invested in civic activities as well, having served as Board Chair for Leadership Upper Valley for two years (2015-16) and currently fill the role of Treasurer for the Town of Croydon, NH where I live.
