JK Franks author of the popular post-apocalyptic Catalyst Series is an admitted tech geek, entrepreneur, cyclist, and bestselling author, JK Franks’ world was formed by a childhood spent in the rural South growing up during the space age when he developed a love for writing. He became an avid student of history and science, and a regular reader of reference books and biographies. Once he discovered science fiction he never looked back. His work is characterized by meticulous research and a gritty, seldom-matched realism. His first series tells the tale of a near-future apocalyptic solar event, and the survivors’ efforts to hang on to the remnants of a collapsing civilization. His work includes several slick techno-thrillers. Like much of his work, it combines his passion for Hard Science Fiction with well-crafted characters, fast action and superb storytelling. His newest Post Apoc series Savage Earth launched in 2022 Franks and his wife now live in west Georgia. He is currently working on the next book in the current series.
