Ed is a lifelong technology enthusiast whose love of engineering and liberal arts helped him forge a career in cybersecurity. Ed is passionate about advancing the cybersecurity workforce and education. He proudly serves Cyversity, a nonprofit organization that promotes diversity and inclusion in the field. He is a trailblazer in the IT security and software quality industries, host of Ed TALKS, and has led companies such as Security Innovation, Rational Software, Lionbridge, and MathSoft. He is a Privacy by Design ambassador for Canada, a Distinguished Research Fellow at the Ponemon Institute, and has presented at numerous industry conferences. Ed earned degrees in Engineering and English Literature prior to receiving an MBA with honors from Boston College. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife. They enjoy traveling the world together and are fitness fiends; however, most of all, they love spending time with their large, extended family and friends.
