Dr. Daniel Cameron grew up in a small Minnesota farming community and is now a nationally renowned expert in the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and tick-borne diseases. He practices medicine in New York where he has helped patients for over 35 years. After witnessing too many people being mis-diagnosed, he is advocating for patients to receive better care. Dr. Cameron dedicates his time to studying, writing, and educating other medical professionals about Lyme disease. Dr. Cameron holds a medical degree in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota and completed medical residencies at Beth Israel Medical Center and Mt. Sinai Hospital. He served two terms as president of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) and as lead author for two evidence-based treatment guidelines. His other works include “Inside Lyme: An Expert’s Guide to the Science of Lyme Disease.” He hopes the information provided will assist readers in overcoming frustrations and obstacles—and get the treatment they need.
