After his recent retirement, D.P. DeGarmo (Don) decided to focus full time on his writing. Don was a Marine Security Guard protecting American Embassies on three different continents. Then he was a Department of Defense Industrial Security Manager for defense contractors, keeping our secrets – secret. He published his first article in the National Classification Management Society’s Journal in November 1989 (Should Spies be Executed: A look at the Walker Spy Case). He continues to write, including travel tips, his memoirs, and now fiction stories. His family’s support has led him to share some experiences, inspiration, and entertainment with his readers. Happily married to Donna since 1984, Don is also a very proud father and grandfather and loves his Golden Retriever, Chester. Having lived in 25 states and 24 countries, he enjoys flying and traveling to new places for inspiration and adventure. He adores writing love letters and poems to his wife on special occasions such as Valentine’s Day, her birthday, anniversary, and Mother’s Day. Don will continue to write from the heart and is grateful for all the love and support. He is already at work on his next novel.
