Coby Fletcher was born and raised in the oilfields of Odessa, Texas. Soon after graduation, he served for two years in French-speaking Europe as a Mormon missionary before returning to the United States to finish his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University. A person of many interests, he holds a Master of Arts in Humanities and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. He speaks fluent French, along with several dialects of Old French and Old Occitan, and is as at ease discussing philosophy as he is talking about contemporary fiction or running a school. Currently, Coby and his family reside in Michigan where they enjoy exploring the Lake Michigan coastline. Coby hopes someday to realize his lifetime dream of writing the book that is equal parts Chretien de Troyes, P.D. James, Douglas Adams, and Umberto Eco.
