Award-winning entrepreneur and speaker, Chris Manion is a University of Dayton honors graduate. Her newest book, The Grateful Boat, helps heal abandonment issues through a scary experience of a terrible storm. All the characters discover a reason to be grateful in the end. Based on a true story from Hurricane Michael, the book helps children address issues of self-pity, abandonment, and doubt. The Light We Cannot See earned 1st Place in the Living Waters Children's picture book awards and five Purple Dragonfly Book Awards in 2022. This tender story comforts children and adults with a tale of how angels take care of their little ones in heaven. Her memoir, God's Patient Pursuit of My Soul, received two Catholic Press Awards. Author and memoir professor, Marion Roach Smith, called it a "handbook for living in the light." Thomas Keating said, "This book will help many increase their confidence in God's great love for us." When she's not writing, she volunteers as a GAL (Guardian ad Litem or CASA) child advocate for foster children. Chris loves walks in the woods and kayaking, and explores her creativity in photography, cooking, poetry, and gardening. She is grateful for her children, grandchildren and beloved husband of forty-plus years. Find her video devotions at https://www.youtube.com/chrismanionable.
