Bob was a newspaper journalist and a trial lawyer before writing his first novel, A Terrible Guilt, a legal thriller, which was published in September 2024. As a journalist, he covered the resumption of the use of capital punishment in the late 1970s. As a lawyer, he led a team of volunteer lawyers in the representation of a death row inmate in habeas corpus proceedings. Bob's second novel, The Shark's Protege, another legal thriller, was published in April 2026. Each of his novels involve a murder mystery, a police investigation, and a jury trial.
