Bob Chaput is a leading authority on cybersecurity and enterprise cyber risk management. He is passionate about helping organizations and their supply chain safeguard sensitive information by establishing robust and proactive enterprise cyber risk management programs. In addition to Enterprise Cyber Risk Management as A Value Creator | Leverage Cybersecurity for Competitive Advantage, he wrote Stop The Cyber Bleeding: What Healthcare Executives and Board Members Must Know About Enterprise Cyber Risk Management (ECRM). Chaput is Clearwater's Founder and Executive Chairman, an award-winning regulatory compliance, cyber risk management, and managed security services solutions provider. Chaput has worked with board members and C-suite executives at dozens of organizations, including Fortune 100 organizations and agencies within the federal government. In addition to his work on behalf of Clearwater clients, Chaput is dedicated to educating industry leaders about cyber risk management through articles, presentations, and webinars. He was a contributing author to two other books: Wolters Kluwer’s Health Law and Compliance Update and the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM)’s Health Care Risk Management Fundamentals. His insights about cyber risk management have also been published in dozens of periodicals, including Modern Healthcare, CISO Mag, the Health Care Compliance Association’s Compliance Today, HealthITSecurity, HealthcareInfoSecurity (Information Security Media Group), and The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) Pro Cybersecurity. Chaput has given presentations on the topic of cybersecurity and cyber risk management at numerous industry conferences. Beyond his more than 35 years of experience in the field, Chaput also holds several risk management, privacy, and security professional certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Health Care Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP), Certified in Risk Information Security Controls (CRISC), Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US), Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH), and NACD CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight. Chaput served on the HealthCare’s Most Wired™ Survey Governance Board and as a board member of the Association of Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS). He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), (ISC)2, ISACA, and ISSA.
