Angela Day writes about the relationship between people and the environment, and the role that regulatory policies and politics play in those relationships. A 2015 winner of the Western Writer’s Spur Award, her writing is inspired by travels throughout the American West. As a professor, sojourner, and writer, her research has taken her from the emerald waters of Alaska’s Prince William Sound to the western hemisphere’s most contaminated nuclear site on the desert steppes of southeastern Washington State. She has published case studies for teaching graduate students in schools of public policy and administration, and developed and taught courses in these subjects. Day earned a PhD on Political Science and a certificate in Narrative Non-fiction Writing from the University of Washington. She is a native of the Pacific Northwest and lives in Snohomish, Washington with her husband Bobby Day.
