Pastor Alfred S. Cherubim Pastor Alfred S. Cherubim, a great example of commitment and faith, is of Tamil ancestry in Sri Lanka. After finishing his studies, he committed himself to work as an Agricultural Officer for the Sri Lankan government.Guided by an unwavering sense of purpose, Pastor Cherubim found his stride within the YMCA, ascending to the esteemed position of Pioneer Director at the YMCA Youth Training Centre. His dedication and visionary leadership then propelled him into the role of Associate National General Secretary of the N.C of the YMCAs of Sri Lanka, solidifying his status as an instrumental figure in shaping the organization's growth and impact. In 1983 The tumultuous events thrust Pastor Cherubim into the crucible of life-altering decisions., due to ethnic turmoil. Faced with the upheaval of ethnic riots, he and his family embarked on a transformative journey to India. His Evangelical service there fostered dedicated believers, including future pastors and leaders. His seven-year Indian journey marked faith and transformation. Returning to Sri Lanka in 1990, Pastor Cherubim channeled his compassion into tangible action, founding the "COME HOME" orphanage—a haven of care and education for 53 orphaned boys. Amidst the nurturing of minds and hearts, he and his wife Mary Cherubim sowed seeds of faith that yielded a harvest of three full-time pastors and a cadre of faithful leaders. Venturing across continents, Pastor Cherubim embarked on a new chapter in Canada in 2001, establishing the Redeemer Christ Assembly wherein he currently serves as senior pastor and continuing his mission of spiritual leadership. A prolific writer, he penned numerous Christian Tamil and English books and articles, captivating readers with his insights. An epitome of spiritual influence, Pastor Cherubim's life and work have kindled unwavering faith and commitment in hearts across Sri Lanka, India, Canada, and beyond.
