Alexandre Mars is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and the founder & CEO of the investment firm Blisce and the Epic Foundation. Mars began his career as an entrepreneur at the age of 17. At that time, he was confident it would take him a year or two to succeed. But it took him fifteen years of tireless work to launch and develop start-ups. However, creating tech companies was never his end goal. It simply allowed him to have the financial security to carry out a much bigger ambition: being of use to society. After selling his last two companies to Blackberry and Publicis, Alexandre Mars was finally financially independent to write the next chapter of his life. From there, he decided to leverage his entrepreneurial skills, network, knowledge, and influence to scale his impact and contribute to improving our society. To foster that mission, he created Epic, a global foundation that helps to transform the lives of children and youth by bridging the gap between impactful nonprofits, individuals, and businesses who want to drive positive change. Convinced that the private sector also has a crucial role in making our society more just and sustainable, Alexandre Mars also founded Blisce, a leading B Corp investment firm committed to investing differently (including in companies such as Spotify, Too Good To Go, Headspace, Brut, and many more). “Mission Possible” is Mars’ motto when it comes to entrepreneurship. That’s why he has decided to share his knowledge and experience as an entrepreneur by writing a book and creating a masterclass addressed to hopeful entrepreneurs. Mars’ passion for sports and his commitment to greater social justice also led him to become Chairman of the Sport and Society Commission for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games candidacy back in 2017. Mars is convinced that large-scale sporting events like the Games need a long-lasting, positive social impact. Today, as an Ambassador and Board member of the Paris 2024 Games, Mars contributes to the immense challenge to make this unique event matter beyond the competition.
