I’m not sure I will continue the series… it’s well written and I liked the world build. The characters have depth and show growth. The MMC is excellent. The problem for me (very minor spoiler) is that he has a special needs son. A large part of the story hinges on the fact he has this kid and how he’s different. For me personally it took away from the romance. It’s very obvious that his son is the most important thing to him and she can’t compete. The kid becomes such a huge part of the plot. Idunno like I said it’s a personal preference. If you have kids you will probably fine with it. I will say the sexual tension was absolutely excellent! Also to be fair there isn’t that much actual page time with the kid. I am interested in what happens with the rest of the story…. So maybe I will try the next book. While I might not recommend it first I will say it’s worth listening to.

The typical lyrical prose I've come to expect from Natalia, delivered in the most poetic way! I absolutely love everything about this book! The banter between characters was 🤌 *chef's kiss*. Briar starts out being such a prude and then she meets the silver tongued court jester and my oh my do things change 😏

And we can't forget about little Nicu! I loved him immediately and have tucked him into my heart for safe keeping!

Can't wait to see where their story goes from here!

As the title says, it had a very slow start. Now that I have completed the book, it all makes sense and it’s worth the drag in the beginning. I almost did not make it past chapter 3, but after chapter 10, things pick up! I highly recommend this VERY spicy story of two forbidden lovers and their trickery to power! I can’t wait for the other books! I’m starting the next in the series now.
