The Secret Proposal was probably my least favourite of the three books, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the ride.
Compared to the previous installments, this one felt a little more intimate and family-focused, which gave the story a softer side. Of course, the spice is still absolutely off the charts, so this is definitely a book where checking the trigger warnings first is a good idea.
What I continue to appreciate about this series is that Ruby Skye never treats the characters' desires as something to be ashamed of. Underneath all the outrageous kink is a strong focus on trust, communication, acceptance, and being able to explore what you want without judgment.
Rosie remains one of the highlights for me. I love how accepting and compassionate she is, and how naturally she makes the people around her feel comfortable being themselves.
This is definitely a series where the spice gets most of the attention, but there is always more going on beneath the surface. The final book takes the characters in some unexpected directions and brings the Clarendon journey to a memorable close.
🎧 Narration
The multicast narration was once again fantastic. The full cast brought so much personality and emotion to the story, making it incredibly easy to get swept up in the world.
The different voices worked really well together, and the performances added another layer to both the emotional moments and the more intense scenes. It made this an especially entertaining audiobook experience.

Final Thoughts
The Secret Proposal wasn't my favourite Clarendon book, but it was still an entertaining and very memorable way to finish the series. The story feels warmer and more personal than the previous books, while still delivering the outrageous level of spice this series is known for.
If you've enjoyed Rosie and the Clarendon Club so far, this is definitely worth finishing. Just know what you're getting into and check those trigger warnings first.
