If you could sum up Tears of Tess in three words, what would they be?

Dark, intense, and suspenseful

Who was your favorite character and why?

Q. I loved him. Yes he was dominating and at times borderline cruel but once you get a glimpse into his past you understand him a bit more.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Jacob Morgan before and he is one of my favorites. I enjoyed his french accent (It might not be the best but it was better than what I imagined in my head when I read the book) and wish he would have carried on with it all the way through. The last couple of chapters I feel like he just gave up which is a shame because it really added to the story. This was my first time listening to the female narrator but I enjoyed her narration as well.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was! I would listen to the whole series back to back if I could. I will be impatiently waiting for the others to be on audio.

Any additional comments?

Just want to give a heads up that there are no Australian accents even though the main character Tess is Australian. I was a bit disappointed at first but once I come to terms with that I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook.

That was the best and most intense book I have heard!!! So dark if you are not into that. But Jacob Morgan’s voice will definitely make you want to!!!

This book is so many things. The best way to describe it is a disturbing erotic depiction of a twisted love story. Two confusingly strong characters who refused to back down from each other. Fair warning... It's dark and dirty and not for the faint at heart. There are situations that may be a trigger for some, but if you're not easily triggered, it's guaranteed to be an entertaining read. The story certainly kept my attention from the first page to the last.

Really enjoyed this book. Definitely a dark book and has many uncomfortable moments but pepper winters is such an amazing writer she sucks you into the story from the beginning. The narrators were perfect! Recommend but know it has many dark subjects.

I’m unsure how to review this. I liked the premise of the story, but the execution was flawed. The story was well written. If Q’s mission was to save and repair slaves, then why didn’t he just tell Tess that. It makes no sense. Everyone kept acting like she was in the wrong, but as far as she knew he was just as bad as any other sex trafficker. He kept saying he wanted to rape her, not just role play. Seriously, not how he treated all the other slaves. Then the sparrow room incident. How is that ok? How is that supposed to repair/help a slave? And Suzzette? WTH. She has no problem with the way he treated her. Was eager to encourage it. Sick. Then she was raped, and sure he tended to her, but then he touched her and more. I’m sorry she would have had significant internal injuries, and he just expected her to submit, and she did? Unrealistic. Then they did a scene while he was drunk. That is so far from safe. He always left her after an encounter. Aftercare? There was none. They never had an interaction when he wasn’t awful to her, and she just wanted to stay. She actually came back. The only people I liked in the were the cook and Franco.

Finished in one day. Couldn’t stop listening. Love the male narration. Pay attention to trigger warnings. I already purchased book 2.

Pepper Winters is an excellent author. This story draws you in, and at the same time, dares you to test your limits because at times, it can be difficult to hear the struggles that Tess and Q endure.

The narrators are beyond Good, they're Great! You can't help but feel the emotion they are able to convey with their performance! Hanna Belle and Jacob Morgan are two of the best narrators I've heard, quickly ranked in my list of favorites.

I don't know how this book could get lower than 5 stars! I listen to several books a week, as I work from home, it allows me this luxury. I only write reviews on the books I consider to be the cream of the crop... This series deserves a review!

If you want erotica, intrigue, twisted love, and resolution, this series will not disappoint!

So well written, you can't help but be captivated and entertained by the story of Tess and Q.

I hope you enjoy these two books as much as I did. The second book is even deeper, darker, and more descriptive... so be prepared, you'll want to know what's in store for these characters, and Pepper Winters delivers in a Big way!

Duet narration is tricky for me but I needn't worry with Tears of Tess because it was duet narration done right! I absolutely loved it.

Warning, not for everyone. Just for those that have a dark heart and gold soul.
