When author Lady Marie prefaced her spicy holiday-themed novella as being "messy", she was speaking truth in the best way!

With Thanksgiving fast approaching, our FMC Sinna has no plans to celebrate, being far from her own family, and wishing to avoid her ex, despite an invitation from his family.

A chance encounter and a favor granted to a flirty, fine ass man with a deep bass voice while waiting in line at the market changes her plans. "Golds" doesn't waste any time letting Sinna know he'd like to know her better, but the meet cute ends with a comment that hits a little too close to home and a pissed off Sinna driving away.

To prove a point to the intoxicating but infuriating man she's sure she'll never see again, Sinna decides to go to her ex's family gathering after eliciting a promise from his mama (who loves her like a daughter) that Sinna's ex *won't* be there, and this is where it gets wonderfully, deliciously, satisfyingly messy...and swoony...and SPICY.

If you enjoy insta-lust, ex-boyfriend's cousin, a woman wronged getting her lick back, a man who shows up and shows out for his woman, and banter and humor galore, then Sinnamon & Golds is perfect for you!

The cherry on top is the amazing narration of Nia Serge and Midnite Michael. Both are dedicated to their storytelling craft and this audiobook is a feast for the ears. Serge's sassy yet sultry performance and Michael's spine-tingling bass were everything needed to do justice to this steamy story.

Really enjoyed but it was too short! I wanted to hear more about the characters. There was a good amount of drama and humor. Excellent narration!

I needed more! First time reading this author's work. This short story had just the right amount of drama, mess and spice! Great job narrators, you brought the story to life!
