Can't wait for the next book
Love the story and the action. MC (author) please get over the guilt of protecting yourself and family, I get not turning into a monster, but the second guessing is getting old. If it is a life and death situation the hesitation could get you or your loved ones hurt or dead.

Waste of your time?
Btw no he doesn’t get his crest , his sword powers are still crap even tho all he had to do is break all the chains and gain what would be considered a replacement to a crest. The writer has a serious “I hate men” kink which gets in the way of any character progression for the MC someone fine me a way to spark note this bs so I can go about my day…
