Audiobook update: This book is another fantastic audio produced by Blue Nose Audio! This is narrated by Sean Masters and Oscar Reyes - what an amazing duo together! I think I loved this book even more after listening to it and I didn't think I could love it more. These narrators really brought out the pain, the suffering, all the tenderness and emotions for me! I was in tears half the time because I could just FEEL it all. My poor guys! All they went through and suffered is narrated beautifully by this team. Sean Masters has been a fave for awhile, but I believe this may be a first read by Oscar Reyes and it won't be my last!! I hope they are also narrating the next book in this series!

5 - I am always so happy when I see that this author has a new book coming out and like previous books, I just devoured this. There is just something about the way this author writes romance with darker elements that really works for me (though I am typically a low angst reader). This is a captivity romance and the forced proximity aspect along with the non-verbal MC means that the way to the development of romantic feelings is very intense. Roman (The Beast) is forced to fight and in the course of fighting, he is injured a lot. Lucas has been betrayed into captivity by his stepfather - his role is to tend to Roman. As a result of their circumstances, they are forced to be together and to learn to communicate with one another. For the Beast, Lucas becomes his in every way. For Lucas, Roman gives him all the attention and protectiveness he has never before received. I love their darkness and how their emotions develop in this horrible place as well as after. I had tears in my eyes many times during this read - just the..sweetness, I guess, in their understanding of each other, how the "beast" just needed Lucas so much, how he was so soft for Lucas, so kind and protective of him....Gah! And in turn, how tenderly Lucas cared for the Beast and took care of him in so many ways. Their story, these MCs, and their love definitely got to me. Also - the spice was super hot!! This book is on the shorter side and fast paced too - be prepared for a wild ride! Loved it and can't wait for the next book.

I love Rina! I read/listen to everything by her I come across. Her books always have a great back story. Her spice be spicing.

I loved the two narrators. The story has been a favorite for a while. I have been looking forward to the audiobook! I was not disappointed.

Possession is dark, intense, and surprisingly intimate. Two men locked in a cell together, stripped of freedom and forced to survive side by side. Watching them find their way together was easily my favorite part of the book. The connection feels raw, shaped by fear, dependence, and an undeniable pull.

The spice is unapologetically feral in the best ways and I enjoyed every delicious second. It was charged, emotional, and very much tied to the story rather than thrown in for shock value. It’s not a gentle read, but it’s gripping and deeply compelling. Dark romance readers will feel right at home here.

The audiobook elevates the experience even further. Oscar Reyes delivers a powerful performance as Lucas, capturing his edge, vulnerability, and simmering intensity with precision. Sean Masters brings Roman to life with equal strength, grounding him in emotion and restraint while letting the tension simmer just beneath the surface. Together, their performances were so commanding and raw. The chemistry was so intense I was fanning myself the whole time. But they brought a level of tenderness as well that tied their relationship together so perfectly. They did a phenomenal job.

I loved this audio. Sean Masters is becoming one of my favorites! And Rina Saint is always an automatic buy for me. I don’t even have to read the blurb. I can’t wait for the next in this series.
