Publisher's summary

With a human-pup slave and a werewolf pet, Liam is perfectly content with where his life is - right up until the point where everything shattered. In his haste to satisfy his sire, he makes a choice that fractures the untraditional family he’d created, and he’s left to pick up the pieces in the aftermath. But Zain isn’t a mindless pet, and Caleb isn’t as much a pup as he might seem...and all three of them definitely have opinions on what the future looks like...and who’s in it.

Will a fight for their pup’s affection further damage their relationship, or will it bring them back together?

This is the final book in the Tamed & Trained trilogy, and it cannot be listened to as a standalone. Please hear the warnings on Puppy (Tamed & Trained, Book 1) before starting Caleb, Liam, and Zain’s journey!

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:

5* - very very good
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often re-listening
it's like an A

3* - it's more then a one-time-listening, but not more then twice a year.
it's like a B

Story good, narrator eh

I enjoyed this whole trilogy. I thought it was weird that the driving force behind the main plot complication gave up so easily toward the end. I didn't enjoy how the narrator did Liam's voice. Overall, a good trilogy if it's your kink :)

Great ending to this series!

This is a great conclusion to Caleb, Zane and Liam's story. There are definitely moments I want to shake Liam but it was great to see how their relationship develops after that happen. Then JJ Jenness did a great job in narrating this one. I like how he does the accents of the characters and it pull me more into the story.

Thank you for the audio

Thank you for the audio, I voluntarily give this an honest review. when Liam's maker and sire shows up at his door demanding Zain leaves who will Caleb survive with his alpha? Zain confronts Liam about Caleb going deeper in head sub and willing to take him from the vampire if he can't have him act normal with his sire around. will Liam choose his Sire over his wolf and pup or five up all ties to them? this was a great listen by J J Jenness. highly recommended this series, if you are in to the pup play/ non-con. mutation is involved.

Best end for a beautiful series <3

I loved this series so much that I'm sorry to say goodbye. In this book we see how the relationship recently begun between the three protagonists is put to the test by the arrival of Liam's sire. Among the communication problems of the vampire and the misunderstandings, the real victim here is Caleb, who would just love to see his master and his alpha together and happy, and especially, with him. They may seem incompatible, but you will see that in the end they are destined to be together.

It's OK, once you get into it

3 Blue Roses
3 Blue Flames
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is the 3rd book in the Series: Tamed & Trained
Narrator JJ Jenness is difficult to follow, I struggle to keep my attention on the plot and the different dynamics between characters. He has an unnatural cadence and breathing making me think I'm listening to a news reader. His different accents and voices are OK to listen to and are almost more natural than his regular reading voice. They are very well distinguishable. With more practice and experience inserting better emotions into his performances, listening to the audio may become much more enjoyable.
This book cannot be listened to as a standalone. I was hoping to hear more detail about the dynamic between the characters. I felt lost, I heard the bad treatment of Liam's pets, but I did not get a chance to attach emotionally to Liam, Caleb or Zain. There was little world building and minimum character development. The dynamic between pup and master was not explained very well and I could not decide if this was really a dark paranormal or just plain stupidity on Liam's side. I don't know who to like or whom to hate.
The pup, slave and werewolf pet relationship with the clueless vampire who struggles and learn to communicate his feelings very late in the story clarified the spinelessness of the vampire which mirrors the D/S relationship in their house.

Happy Listening

Finding where you belong

In Master, we find that when Liam's sire comes to visit, Liam sends Zain away. Zain not really understanding this leaves but then comes back to take their pup with him. He needs Caleb with him. After much deliberation Liam lets Zain take Caleb. And in the end Liam realizes he needs and wants Zain and Caleb with him and doesn't care what his sire thinks.
Narrator JJ Jenness does a good job and it was nice to hear him narrate all three books.

good conclusion

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? imersive story, characters have shown some growth and the story has a good pace. "Master" is a test of their relationship and as mismatched as Liam, Caleb and Zain are - they ARE a family.
---
Narrator comment: JJ Jenness has done a reasonable job narrating Master. I found it a little flat at times and I'm not convinced the characters voices really do them justice, but it wasn't enough to distract me from the story.
