Holy marshmallow! 😱 I looooove how wickedly depraved and unashamedly erotic this book is! 😁 What a tasty little gem! Two hours of listen and I couldn’t get enough of it. This definitely won’t be my last R. Phoenix. 😏


This book/audio comes with a heavy warning though. It includes puppy play, blood play, extreme humiliation kink, non-con/dub-con, exhibitionism, public humiliation and body altering. Yup, you name it, it has it. 😁

That being said, if the narrator were another one who performs better than this, this book would be a solid 5 stars for me. 😌 I’m not going to lie, the performance let me down a bit but it was decent enough so it didn’t ruin the story for me. The story though, definitely a 5 stars. 👏

In this dystopian world, vampires, werewolves or paranormal beings are on top of the food chain and humans, needless to say, are either food or pet to them. And when Caleb was captured by powerful and alluring vampire Liam, his life as he knows it will completely and utterly change. For better or for worse though, we’d have to wait and see. 😉


This book charmed and intrigued me so much, I’m willing to bend my own rule of “no ménage” for this one. 😁 This is the prequel story of the full length novel “Alpha” and that book will be ménage. And yes, I’m totally listening that one if it ever comes out on audio. My my, again, I couldn’t get enough of how utterly, wickedly scandalized and diabolically titillating this little gem is! 😍 Seriously, you have to read/listen this little gem if you are into puppy play and extreme humiliation kink.

What did I like about the story? immersive story, interesting characters and good pace. Interesting take on D/s relationship involving puppy play, I enjoyed the dynamic between Caleb and Liam.

i liked this one.. a lot.. that is one sexy puppy haha.. it was messed up and amazing all at one time. the emotions are real and raw.. the feelings are intense and this narrator put that stuff together and made it happen. very good

I love the story, I really do not like the narration. The performance left a lot to be desired. Pauses weren't long enough and the inflection fell short. I listened to this story to and from work, I got so irritated by the narration that I almost turned it off and DNF.

A quick and entertaining story of a vampire acquiring and training his new “puppy.” If you like reading about puppy play kink, then this is the story for you. Liam and Caleb are great characters and I really like how Caleb is able to manipulate Liam without him noticing!
The narrator did a good job with the different character voices and with the story animation.

I really enjoyed this story and it left me wanting more! Caleb was such a cute puppy, defiant in his own ways. Where Liam seemed to need that kind of puppy to become a good owner. Looking forward to more from this author!
