I don’t think I could never not enjoy an Innes/Obi collaboration. The sweet kink with the various voices brought to life is always a pleasure. I will say Cody did not sound how I thought he would. I’m sure this is the case for many readers. I did enjoy Kenneth Obi’s interpretation, and the fact that Cody did not match with what was in my head, did not stop me from enjoying the story and narration.
Obi did a nice job bringing back characters many of us have already heard in Montgomery/Innes’s other stories. I always enjoy hearing Ben and Conner scenes. Obi also does a nice job immersing the listener in Cody, Ford, and Jameson’s world.
I recommend this book for someone looking for something sweet and naughty. If you love M.A. Innes’s work, you won’t be disappointed by the audio version. I’m anxious to see if we will get a chance to hear more of Cody, Ford, and Jameson’s story in Embracing Love.

Truly original storyline with excellent character and relationship development. Love the dynamic between these three. Perfect narration. Highly recommend!

When I read the blurb of this book, I was very interested in it. I haven’t read anything from this author yet, so I was glad that I would be experiencing a “new” voice to me. The narrator is one I have listened to many times and really like. May/December romances are a favorite trope of mine, and I also love MMM. The book had all that going for it, and then there was mention of an asexual daddy dom, and I really wanted to know how that would work. Now age play is not a well known kink to me in my reading. I may have read a few stories, but I think they might have dabbled lightly into the kink if this book is any indication. The level of trust between Cody and Ford must have been strong, because there were some things that I never imagined would occur in this kink. I feel like it serves as a test of the author. Can you make someone who might find something strange feel the trust and depth of the characters and scene to find it sweet or beautiful. And I think the author succeeded.

So the kink is just one part of this very interesting, sort-of menage story. Cody is an early twenty something who is a genius. At fourteen, he started working on one of his many college degrees. And the professors at the school seem to count him as a friend, even while being a little protective of him. Jameson is one of those professors. Cody’s crush was evident early on, but there was no way Jameson would have started a relationship with the underage man; not after his experiences as a young gay man. Even when Cody grew up, it still seemed like it was illicit in Jameson’s mind and as a result Cody began to consider finding someone else. At least someone else who might satisfy his questions about BDSM and age play in particular. Ford is a daddy dom, who wants a relationship, preferably with a sub, but has no interest in sex. Bringing Cody to release is something that makes him happy, but it won’t happen through intercourse. All in all, they are all so very unique, interesting, and wonderful, and I had to discover how it would work for them.

Now the story falls short of a committed relationship between all three of them equally. Cody is in two relationships and the two men he is involved with don’t meet each other until much later. It eases some of the doubt Jameson and Ford have with the permanence of their relationships, and they find a way to bond over their care for Cody. I am very interested to see how this throuple proceeds in the next book in the series.

The kink in this book was not quite what I expected, but I really found the love that grew between Cody and Ford to be beautiful. Jameson had a past that left a deep scar on his heart. It was nice to see him overcome his fears and take a chance with Cody as well. Kenneth Obi narrated this book very well. I am always pleased with his emoting and range of tones. I never got lost wondering who was speaking at a moment. It was a really good book and I definitely recommend it.

Cody is absolutely hilarious and adorable with his focus. Jameson is reluctant due to the history Cody has with him. When Cody meets Ford at a club, he gets some answers that he didn't really realize that he had questions for. Now, as these three try to figure out what happens when there are three that seem to match each other in a way that is unexpected. As they go through their journey, you will be pulled into it and enjoy each moment.

This was a very sweet book/audible! I loved all the characters! Ford was my favorite and he seemed to be a very good daddy! His voice by Kenneth was also my favorite. Kenneth’s low voice for Ford was perfect.
Highly recommend!!
