A mafia forced arranged marriage.
This book was 🥵🥵🥵🥴 The narration was perfection. I LOVE the emotion that was put into it. It made the story so much better.
Mateo is all Alpha. He is ruthless to his enemies & loyal to his family. After the death of his father he takes over as leader of the Benedetti family. Mateo flies to America to meet with the men he suspects killed his father and demands Catherine’s hand in marriage. No is not an option. He already has all the leverage he needs to bring these men to their knees. Gregory Wiltcher who happens to be the police commissioner doesn’t even put up a fight for his daughter. He knows Mateo will happily destroy him.
Catherine, I both liked & hated her character. She was portrayed to be a strong willed, independent woman who would let no man walk all over her. But Mateo squashed her every time. She did not win a single fight. She battled with her feelings throughout the whole ordeal but she always gave in. Did she have a choice? Not really, but still. I wanted more from her.
Mateo & Catherine’s chemistry was explosive 🔥🔥🔥🔥 their story is so spicy I couldn’t get enough.

What a wonderful tale of woe to enjoy. I loved this introduction to the Benedetti family. There are many secrets surrounding this family. I can only imagine what will come out in the future. The author does a great job interweaving the plight of these characters mixed with the life in a mafia family.

I did listen to this on audio. Thomas Locklear is a rock star. His various voices really added to the story.

A very enjoyable steamy romance with a bit of dominance thrown in. The thing that made this book stand out to me was the characters seemed to really fall in love. I mean they fall in love in all her books but this one seemed, Idunno, more lovey? Lol. That’s not to say the sexy rough aspect is lacking at all! Very steamy, very sexy, very alpha in charge my way or the highway…except you can’t leave..so just my way. By the end of the book there is a real feeling of love between the characters. It’s nice and kinda sweet, as well as hair yankin ass spanking hot 😉! Worth a credit and great start to a new series. I’m def getting book 2.

Adored the narration and story from Piper and Thomas. I could listen to that man for days. I adore his accents and performances so much. Can't wait for the rest of the series!

I enjoyed this story. The storyline was interesting and the characters are a intriguing match. I enjoyed there interactions together and was pleased by the ending. As always Thomas has done a amazing job with this story. Can’t wait for more.

Piper Stone is a brilliant author! She can keep me interested all the way to the last word.
Thomas Locklear is a narrator in a class all alone. He is so talented, he needs to be a movie star. I could listen to him all day.

Coral prince was a very good book I wasn’t real sure I was going to like Mateo in the beginning but I did become very fond of him and I’m not sure I would say that he was cruel very good book definitely suggest you give it a listen

Great ingredients for this stand alone story that sets the stage for what will be a good series. The Benedetti family has plenty of secrets just waiting to come to light.
Once again, Thomas Locklear amazes me with his variety of voices, and his portrayal of the wide range of emotions that Piper Stone brings to life with her dialog. I enjoyed this book very much!
